Last updated: 27 August 2026 · Site: songlymusic.blogspot.com

This policy explains what Songly Music collects when you visit the blog, watch embedded videos, or send a message. The site is hosted on Google Blogger. We also use Google AdSense, Google Analytics 4, and YouTube embeds.

Who is responsible

Songly Music operates this website and the YouTube channel @songlymusic. For privacy questions or a request about your data, use the contact form.

What we collect

If you only read the site. We do not ask you to create an account. Servers and analytics still see technical data: IP address, browser type, device, referring URL, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and date/time. Blogger (Google) logs this as the host. Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-FSESX318P9) records similar usage data so we can see which posts are read.

If you send the contact form. We receive the name, email, topic, and message you type, plus the time it was sent. We use that only to reply. We do not add form senders to a mailing list.

If you donate via PayPal. PayPal processes the payment. We may see the name, email, and amount PayPal provides with the transaction.

If you comment. Blogger may require a Google account. Your comment text and public profile name are visible on the page. Prefer email via Contact if you do not want a public comment.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. This site is not directed at children.

Cookies, ads, and Google AdSense

Songly Music uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-9587992901107356) to show ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. These cookies store information such as whether you have seen an ad, how often it appeared, and whether you interacted with it. They may also be used to limit the number of times you see an ad and to measure ad performance.

We do not control Google’s cookies. Google’s own policies apply: Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

YouTube embeds

Many posts embed videos from YouTube using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain where possible (youtube-nocookie.com). Playing a video loads resources from Google/YouTube, which may set cookies and collect view data under Google’s policy. If you do not want that, do not press play; you can open the artist’s video on YouTube in your own browser instead.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 helps us understand aggregate traffic (popular posts, countries, devices). IP addresses are processed by Google under their Analytics terms. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How we use information

  • To operate, secure, and improve the site
  • To understand which features people actually read
  • To show ads that fund the site
  • To answer messages you send us
  • To handle copyright or privacy requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent email lists. We do not use contact-form messages for marketing.

Sharing

We share data with service providers who process it for us: Google (Blogger, AdSense, Analytics, YouTube, Fonts), PayPal (donations), and FormSubmit or similar (contact form delivery). They act under their own privacy policies. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site against abuse.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept according to the Google Analytics retention setting (typically 2–14 months). Contact emails are kept long enough to handle the request, then deleted from the inbox when no longer needed. Published comments stay until you ask us to remove them or we remove the thread.

Your choices

  • Browser controls: block or delete cookies. The site may still work; ads will be less relevant.
  • Ads personalization: Google Ads Settings
  • Analytics opt-out add-on (link above)
  • Access / deletion: email us via Contact with the email you used. We will work with what we actually control (messages, comments). We cannot edit Google’s copies of ad or analytics logs.

International visitors

The site is hosted on Google infrastructure in multiple regions. If you visit from the EU/UK or similar jurisdictions, your data may be processed in the United States. Ads and analytics are the main cookies. You can refuse personalized ads with the links above.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means you have seen the new version.
